The show talks about the efforts of the Biogen association to bring other ecological problems closer to people, namely the problem of electropollution. In general, the impact of non-ionizing radiation is discussed here, as the most serious problem, which is growing day by day. The problem arises in the fact that, due to human activity, this radiation is increasingly occupying our living space. The most noticeable example is the installation of mobile operators' base stations, especially in cities.
This radiation is classified in the 2B group of tumor risks in the World Health Organization classification. Why aren't these problems solved faster and also put under the legal framework. Research cannot go that fast, because the consequences are felt after 10 or more years of using mobile phones, laptops, etc.
When buying a mobile phone, an important parameter is SAR or specific absorption rate. Mostly this information is written on mobile phone packaging in small letters. Biogen advocates that this information be expressed prominently and in large letters, similar to what is found on every pack of cigarettes. This is also the recommendation from the conference of teleoperators in Turin in 2013, where Biogen was the only one invited from Serbia as a representative of our country, which is a great recognition for Biogen's work. The president of the association, Mr. Milan Rogulja, appeals to citizens to freely contact the association for advice and the latest actions, and also to get involved in the work of the Biogen association.
The second regional conference on non-ionizing radiation was held on 30-31. March 2017 in Moravske Toplice in Slovenia.
Recommendations for mobile phone use would be as follows:
1. Use a landline phone
2. Shorten cell phone conversations
3. Avoid conversations in closed spaces (Apartments, cars...)
4. When buying a phone, look at the SAR value and it must be less than 0.6 W/kg.
5. Use multiple messages (SMS, MMS, chat applications)
6. Wait for the connection to be established, then bring the mobile phone to your ear.
7. Do not answer the first ring, but the third, because the radiation is the lowest then.
8. Do not keep the phone next to the pillow, but at least 75 cm away from you
9. Avoid carrying in trouser, shirt, etc. pockets.
