At the forum held in the white hall, the people of Krušev could learn about the negative impact of electromagnetic non-ionizing radiation on our health emitted by mobile phones, wireless routers and base telecommunications stations. We are all afraid of radioactive radiation, and we are not even aware of the danger of non-ionizing radiation, says the president of the Biogen Association, Milan Rogulja:
This radiation surrounds us everywhere in our jackets, pants, hands everywhere. Today, there is no citizen in the Republic of Serbia who does not have at least one mobile phone. You see base stations that follow the development of telecommunication technologies springing up like mushrooms after the rain on all our buildings, regardless of the fact that there is a law and regulation on how they should be placed and where they should be located. Unfortunately, in a large number of cases, this is not fully respected.
Despite the fact that this technology has been present in our lives for more than 20 years, we still don't know how to use it properly, explains Rogulja, so it is necessary to strengthen the information and education of citizens.
How to use that device properly And to reduce that risk, which the World Health Organization classified in the 2B group of possible tumor-causing agents, that's why I say that we are all students and that I still have to learn, and the first and most basic thing is that by founding the Biogen association, one of the program goals is to increase the information of citizens about possible harmful consequences from places where mobile phones, wi-fi routers and devices that emit electromagnetic radiation are sold mobile phones advise to read the user manual of the mobile phone at the very place where it says how to use it properly in order to protect your health and reduce potential risks.

The Biogen association will influence the introduction of regulations on health and consumer protection into legal acts, because we managed to get our government to amend the law on the protection of citizens from non-ionizing radiation with the aim of introducing a certain order into the law itself and the by-laws, because protectors have appeared on the market that do not belong there, that radiating devices are visibly marked at points of sale non-ionizing radiation What is the level of that radiation because there is an international unit that can be used to express it, so the reduction of the risk of electromagnetic radiation will depend a lot on educating and informing citizens at the very start.
Biogen is a national, but also an international association, as it gathers members from the former Yugoslav republics. It was founded in 2010 and deals with the study, detection and education of the harmful negative impact of various types of radiation.
