At the exhibition opened at the Sveti Sava elementary school, the children were shown, through lectures, pictures and panels, how harmful mobile phones are to their health, but also how to use them in moderation and thus prevent their harmful effects. The principal of the elementary school expressed his concern about this problem and appealed to parents to think about giving their child the opportunity to have a mobile phone for several reasons: harmful effects, using a mobile phone during class or the possibility of attacking children in order to steal the device.
The project "Electromagnetic Radiation: Good Servant - Bad Master", organized by the Biogen Association, launched a campaign to raise people's awareness regarding this ever-increasing problem that affects every pore of society and threatens to become a serious environmental problem.
Non-ionizing radiation is classified as a tumor risk as a possible cause of this disease, and one of the devices that emits this type of radiation is a mobile phone.
Since the law on protection against non-ionizing radiation was passed in 2009, projects on this topic have been launched under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, whose main task is to educate and raise awareness among people about this problem. Another campaign within the project is related to placing stickers "warning about the source of non-ionizing radiation" on every device or plant that emits this radiation (base stations, mobile phone boxes, etc.).
