Mobile phone - the effect of radiation on the body and energy

How or why does a cell phone radiate?

How or why does a cell phone radiate?

As an integral part of our lives, the mobile is a necessary tool for current life obligations and communication.

The mobile phone is a tool for accessing and using modern technologies that should make it easier and increase our quality of life.

But we can define technology as a "good servant" but also as a "bad master".

Where is the problem

The whole power of modern technology and mobile phones (this includes laptops, tablets, various WiFi gadgets, etc.) is that they represent a mobile tool that is always with us and thus technology is available from 00-24h. There is no problem with this, but it arises when we realize that all mobile technology uses WIRELESS transmission of signals or information. The wireless signal works at certain frequencies that are actually harmful to people, and this is especially pronounced with the mobile phone that we carry with us and, worst of all, in the pockets of pants, shirts, jackets, jackets, etc.

The problem is that these radiations are very subtle, which means that it takes several years to prove their harmful effects. Fortunately, these researches have long since started to be carried out, and we are one step closer to the point where mobile phone radiation will be declared a tumor-causing agent.

It is safe to say that with the development of technology, the incidence of tumors in humans began to increase rapidly.

In Serbia, according to statistics, we have 128 mobile phones per 100 inhabitants, which is a high percentage of the use of this technology.

How a mobile phone works

There is a built-up network of antennas or transmitting stations that are close to each other. They are also called base stations. The whole network looks like honeycombs or cells, so a mobile phone is called a cell phone or in English "Cell phone". When we talk and we are on the move, when moving from one zone to another, the radiation of the mobile phone increases, so it is recommended not to move until you are talking, this mostly applies to driving a car, bus, etc.

The mobile phone constantly communicates with the base station even if we are not using it. It sends a confirmation signal that it is "connected" to the base station, which means that it emits less. Now it is clearer why it is not recommended to be close to the body, i.e. in the pockets.

The further the base station is, the more power the mobile phone needs to reach it.

On the other hand, more antennas mean better signal and less radiation, although this is a double-edged sword and the question is whether to have one stronger antenna or more antennas with weaker radiation power.

The World Health Organization together with the European Commission adopted and approved the following restrictions:

- SAR or specific degree of absorption should not exceed 2 W/kg. Devices that meet the standards carry the CE mark and the SAR is highlighted on the mobile phone packaging. It is recommended that you look at SAR values when shopping and buy with a lower value, because health is the most important.

- Installed antennas should not have a higher radiation power value than the limit values defined by WHO and EC. The radiation power of antennas is information of public importance and must be publicly available, which would not be the case based on previous experience. The problem is that base stations are placed in schools, kindergartens, hospitals...

Since no one can protect our health better than ourselves and we have an obligation to take care of our health, we should pay attention to the following:

  1. When you want to make a phone call, look at the signal strength. If the signal is too weak, then delay the call until a favorable signal. If the signal is too weak, which means that the base station is far away, so the mobile phone will radiate more, thus exposing you to a greater amount of non-ionizing radiation.
  2. It would be best to use the option of talking through the speaker (eng. Hands-free), then headphones, bluetooth (eng. Bluetooth) or headphones that use tubes (eng. Air-tube) for transmission.
  3. When buying a mobile device, always look at the SAR values on the packaging and they must be less than 2W/kg.
  4. Children under the age of 12 should not use mobile phones except in emergency situations.
  5. Answer only on the third ring, because then the radiation is the least.
  6. When calling, wait for the connection to be established, then put the mobile phone to your ear.
