The ear

Dowsing analysis of the hearing aid and ear structure

The human ear is anatomically divided into three basic parts: the outer, middle and inner ear. This complex system is not only responsible for receiving and transmitting sound waves, but also plays a key role in maintaining the balance of the entire body.

Anatomical division and function of the ear

1. External ear

It consists of the ear (Auricula), the external auditory canal and the ear drum (Membrana tympani). The ear is made of cartilage and covered with skin rich in capillaries. The sound pipe conducts the sound to the eardrum, while the protective hairs prevent the penetration of dust. The eardrum has a diameter of about 1 cm, captures sound vibrations and transmits them to the ossicles of the middle ear.

2. Middle ear

It includes three small auditory bones: the malleus, the incus, and the stapes. The hammer is fused to the drum with its wedge-shaped extension. The bone system regulates the sound volume (muffles too loud and boosts soft tones). The chamber of the drum is connected to the pharynx via the Eustachian tube (Tuba auditory), whose role is to equalize the pressure when exposed to unexpected, loud sounds.

3. Inner ear

It is located in the cavity of the temporal bone (bony labyrinth) and consists of a vestibule (Vestibulum), three semicircular canals (anterior, posterior and lateral) and a bony cochlea (Cochlea). Inside the labyrinth there are membranous tubes and the vestibular apparatus filled with perilymph, which are crucial for hearing and maintaining balance.

Review methodology and recommendations

The examination of the ear begins with an analysis of the external auditory canal and eardrum. Then the mental concentration is shifted to the middle ear (hammer, anvil, stirrup), after which it moves to the inner ear - checking the semicircular canals, the cochlea, the vestibular apparatus and the auditory nerve.

Given that ear diseases are often very complex and delicate, any observed irregularity must serve exclusively as a landmark, with the mandatory referral of the patient to a detailed specialist examination by an otorhinolaryngologist.
