Impact of harmful radiation on fauna and flora

The impact of harmful radiation on animals, plants and nature

Even our ancestors instinctively felt the negative impact of certain places on health. While some animals and plants avoid zones of harmful radiation, others seek them out, and recognition of these signs in nature has served as a reliable guide since ancient times.

Reactions of animals to harmful radiation

Domestic and wild animals react extremely strongly to the presence of underground flows and harmful radiation. It is known that dogs run away from such places, and if they are forced to stay or sleep there (for example chained), they can easily get sick. Similarly, cows on harmful streams lose milk, horses lose weight, lose coat color and die, while such animals are often sterile. Similar problems affect pigs, goats, sheep, poultry and pigeons.

On the other hand, cats are an exception - they feel good about harmful radiations and consciously seek them out, which gave birth to a popular saying: "Don't sleep where the cat sleeps." In addition to cats, bees and ants also "love" harmful radiation. Birds are also extremely sensitive, so no bird's nest (like swallows' nests) has ever been built on a harmful stream, which is why houses where storks build their nests have always been considered healthy homes.

Impact on trees, orchard and vegetable garden

In the plant world, sensitivity to radiation varies drastically. Among trees, giant sequoias and oaks are generally insensitive (oaks suffer only in extremely strong crossings), while beeches suffer extremely and do not experience the usual old age, which is recognized in the forest by bumps on the bark, drying of the branches and shedding of the bark (hence the saying: "Avoid the oak, look for the beech!").

Examples from fruit growing and vegetable growing

  • Orchards: Fruits such as cherries and peaches get sick very quickly on harmful streams. Peaches die quickly at radiation crossings, and experience shows that a new one should not be planted in the place of a dead peach, which is why it is recommended to hire a dowser before planting fruit plantations.
  • Vegetables: Among the vegetable crops, cucumbers and cauliflower are particularly sensitive to radiation (which grow soft, loose and weak), while tomatoes and peas are much more resistant.
