The very intensive development of information technologies, especially mobile telephony and other communication systems based on wireless information transmission, has contributed to the specific pollution of the environment by electromagnetic radiation, for which the generally accepted name electrosmog has been adopted. This name directly indicates that these have a harmful effect on human health, which has been irrefutably confirmed in numerous scientific studies around the world. These facts, and the data that there are many other sources of electromagnetic and other radiations, which also have a harmful effect on human health, have initiated actions in many countries to educate the population about the harmfulness of such radiations, as well as the possibilities of protection against them.
The basic program objectives of the BIOGEN association (hereinafter referred to as the Association) derive from the above, i.e. from the evident need for credible reporting to our public about the harmful effects of the ever-present electromagnetic and other radiation, whose presence in the environment is increasing very quickly.
• The association will strive to animate the social community in order to launch an initiative to define and adopt national standards of permissible radiation, which must be harmonized with the latest scientific indicators.
• The Association's work will include, in addition to interested citizens, experts, whose work is closely related to the issues, which the Association actualizes in its work. This refers to engineers of technical sciences, especially electrical engineering, physicists, medical workers, biologists, biochemists, ecologists and all others who could influence the fulfillment of the Association's goals through their actions. By achieving a combination of knowledge from several scientific fields, the preconditions would be created to formulate a national strategy for the protection of the population and the environment from harmful radiation, in accordance with European and world standards in that field. This also implies the establishment of international cooperation with organizations whose work fully or partially overlaps with the work goals of the Association.
• Regular monitoring, collection and analysis of scientifically verified indicators on the pollution of our environment with electrosmog and other radiations, which have a harmful effect on human health (hereinafter referred to as harmful radiations).
• Technical equipment and informational enrichment of the manufacturer-product database with a clearly defined level of radiation according to valid legislative acts, with the aim of preparing a wider action for the issuance of certificates for widely used products and products for protection against harmful radiation.
• Raising the level of information among the wider public, especially the young generation, about the threat to human health due to excessive exposure to harmful radiation and about the possibilities of protection against them.
• Education of members of the Association for volunteer work on the promotion of protection measures against harmful radiation
• Preparation and publication of a printed publication, a unique newsletter of the Association, a collection of works that show and prove the ever-present harmful effects of electromagnetic pollution on living organisms.
• Planning and implementation of continuous education programs in cooperation with all reference institutions and individuals through lectures, , counseling and seminars, with the aim of including them in licensed (scored) programs of continuous education of healthcare workers.
• Preparation and implementation of educational programs for primary schools, secondary schools, student dormitories, faculties and student dormitories and professional training of the implementers of these tasks and other goals of the association.
• Continuous monitoring, planning and exchange of data on increases and effects of electromagnetic and all other types of non-ionizing radiation with other Associations in the country, region and beyond
• Organizing cooperation with similar Associations in the country and the world.
